Besides my work, my children and my wife Inge, I am interested in flying everything that has wings. I participated in local and national soaring competitions. At the 1998 Arizona Soaring Association competition I placed 4th in the B-class. After moving to New Jersey  I purchased 1/2 share of a LS-3 (1K) and started ridge flying for the first time. When my second child was born I sold 1K and have just recently started flying again. I also started work on building my very own RV-8. More to come on that ... .

In my remaining free time I enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities. My wife and I savor good foods and wines.
